the ultimate summer drink strawberry pineapple mint smoothie
Jump to RecipecardAre you looking for a sweet, sour, healthy, and colorful smoothie? The ultimate summer drink - strawberries, pineapple, mint smoothie - will be your next obsession.
Who doesn’t love a good smoothie? Especially when it’s made out of fresh fruits and vegetables. This strawberry pineapple mint smoothie is my kids’ current favorite smoothie. I couldn’t be happier as it is a super healthy anti-inflammatory drink.
Ingredients for the ultimate summer drink- strawberry pineapple mint smoothie
- Pineapple. Fresh, really ripe pineapples are the best for the smoothie. They are yellow, smell sweet, and primarily are very juicy and super sweet. Pineapples are rich in Vitamin C and manganese. They are loaded with antioxidants, which may help your heart health, diabetes, and certain cancers. Pineapple contains bromelain, which studies have shown to have anticancer effects. It may also boost your immune system and suppress inflammation..
- Strawberries. You can use fresh or frozen strawberries. I prefer fresh strawberries as you can test them before using them. We need a strawberry with a rich taste and a beautiful red color. Strawberries are a rich source of vitamin C, potassium, manganese, and antioxidants.
- Mint leaves. The mint leaves will add an extra fresh kick and harmonize perfectly with the strawberries. Mint has many health benefits, such as being good for your oral health, a good source of vitamin A and antioxidants, helping relieve indigestion, improving your brain function, and more.
- Lime. We need to experience different flavors, and lime is the perfect source for a sour touch.
- Coconut milk. Not cream, just simple coconut milk. It will not taste too much like coconut, just a simple taste.
- Maple syrup. This is not a must. You can leave the extra sweetener out if you dislike adding more sugar. The syrup will add a slight caramel touch, and it has health benefits, too.
- Water.
How to store
It’s always best to drink it right away, as it will not lose vitamins and minerals. However, you can store it in the fridge for at least three days.
Spice it up!
The amazing thing about this smoothie is it is the perfect drink for any occasion. If you want a delicious, fresh tropical smoothie, make this one. Make this if you are hosting a brunch and want an extra colorful drink. Or if you have a party with people who want alcohol in it, then make this one. This drink works really well with vodka, prosecco, or sparkling wine.
If you want to make a vodka strawberry pineapple mint drink, add 2 cl vodka, mix it well, and pour it into a glass with ice. For prosecco or sparkling wine, mix half the smoothie and half of the alcohol, mix, and serve in a beautiful glass.
