Fresh ground beef is used for this rice dish.Pepper.

We need tomatoes for the tomato salad, which will be the fresh side dish for the rice skillet.Sour cream.
Rounds everything up. I use plain sour cream. The tomato salad already has so much flavor it fits perfectly.Lime.
This will be needed for the salad dressing.
how to make the skillet rice recipe
- You will need a big pan/skillet, a pot to cook the rice, a knife, a spatula, a cutting board, a small bowl for the spices, a medium size bowl for the tomato salad, and a plate for the prepared ingredients.
- Add 600ml water (for 300g rice) and salt to a pot and bring it to a boil.
- Wash the rice.
- Add the rice to the boiling water and stir it until there is no water left. Set the stove immediately to a low level (2 of 10). Put a paper towel on top of the rice and the lid on, and let cook for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the rest.
- In a small bowl, mix all the spices together.
- Peel the onion and garlic cloves.
- Cut the onion- cut the onion in half, then cut the onion crosswise so you have small onion cubes.
- Chop the garlic cloves or use a garlic press.
- Wash the bell peppers and cut them into small cubes by cutting the pepper into small sticks and then cutting the sticks into smaller pieces.
- Wash and chop the parsley and cilantro.
- On the stove, set a big skillet on a medium-high level and add some oil to the pan ( vegetable, coconut, olive) you choose.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and saute for about a minute.
- Add the garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and chop it with the spatula until you have many small ground beef pieces.
- Add the spices and salt to the ground beef and stir it. Let it cook until well cooked. (It will look brown). This will take about 10 minutes. In the meantime, check the rice.
- When the 15 minutes are over, check the rice, remove the paper towel, and stir everything well. Put the lid back on the pot until the rice is needed. Leave the stove on a low level.
- Add the tomato paste and stir it until well combined with the other ingredients in the skillet.
- Add the small bell pepper cubes and stir them well. Fry everything for about 3 minutes.
- Add chopped cilantro and parsley and stir it.
- Add rice and combine everything with the spatula until the rice has a beautiful red/ brown color and no more white rice is left. Put the stove on low temperature and put a lid on the skillet. Let it cook for five more minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the tomato salad by cutting the washed tomatoes into small cubes.
- Chop a small onion into very small pieces.
- Add everything to a pot.
- Add lime juice, salt, and cilantro (optional) to the tomato and mix everything together.
- Serve the rice and garnish with tomato salad and sour cream.
- The rice dish is ready to be eaten!
