- RED BELL PEPPER. One big, juicy red bell pepper. This is going to add so much flavor.
- ONION. I used a medium-sized yellow onion, but you can use a red one, too.
- GARLIC CLOVES. I love to stamp the garlic cloves. This method loses a lot of juice but can add so much flavor.
- TOMATO PASTE. Simple tomato paste which contains only tomatoes.
- SIEVED TOMATO. Use organic tomato sauce containing only tomatoes, salt, and water. If the tomato sauce contains lemon, it can change the dish's taste, so be careful.
- WATER. Don't worry if it looks too liquid initially; it will thicken up after cooking.
- PARSLEY. Chopped parsley will add a lot of flavor and color.

Ingredients for the chili oil:
100ml | olive oil |
3tsp | chili flakes |
6 | jalapeños |

- Peel the onion and garlic cloves.
- Chop the onion and bell pepper and stamp the garlic cloves.
- Chop the parsley and cilantro.
- Add 2 tsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp black pepper, salt, 1 tsp Dominican oregano into a small bowl and mix. Put the bowl aside, as we will need it later.
- Add 1 tsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp black pepper, salt, 1 tsp sage, 1 tsp Italian oregano, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp brown sugar, and four bay leaves to another bowl and set it aside. This spice mix will be needed last, so set it aside.
- Add oil to a soup pot and put it on medium-high heat on the stove.
- Add the chopped and mashed garlic to the pot and stir it a few times.
- Add the cut bell pepper and cook for about a minute.
- Add the ground beef and break it apart with a cooking spoon.
- Add the mixed spices and stir it well.
- Cook it for about 7 minutes until the beef is brown.
- Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked beans.
